Hello,

I'm new to Statistica and I'm searching for some help.

I'm using the german version 8.0.725.0

I want to implement a R funktion (f<- npudens from the R library(np)) into Statistica to calculate an estimate density for my data points in a ternary system (CaO(x)-SiO2(y)-Al2O3(z)). This calculated values should be (v) for the ternary 3D plot.

How can I do this?

In this 3D ternary plot I want to draw a surface of this calculated values, like a 3D landscape to show the highest density through a mountain. At the moment I can only draw the calculated values as points in the 3D ternary diagram.

I hope someone can help me.

Hi,

I'm trying to analyze my data using a mixed model. I entered 2 random variables (subject item) 2 fixed variables with their interaction (the 2 things I'm interested in). For some reason, when I do the analysis, it only gives the resuls of the 2 random (uninteresting variables).

When I look at the coefficient table, I see that it 'zeroed' my fixed variables and their interaction because they failed the tolerance check. These factors cannot be correlated with each other since one was the condition, and the other variable is the subjects' WM (and since subjects were assigned to condition randomly, the variation is similar across the two manipulated conditions). When I look at the correlation table, I just see multiple small correlations (~0.1) with subjects, which makes sense since each subject has only 1 WM score and 1 condition.

Why do the variables fail the tolerance test and how do I get around this?

Thanks!

Shiri

Hello!

I' just learning how to work with statstica and have the first problem... I hope you can help me!

I want to do an multiple regression. But statstica says something like 'min. tolerance<given value, matrix not good conditioned' (I have an german version)

What could be the mistake? Do I have to change some adjustments? and which one? Or change the variables (like all values *10)...

Thanks!!

In a certain project, we need to integrate a Statistica graph into the application which uses a VBA macro in Microsoft Access 2003.

It is very easy to use 'http://www.statsoft.com/support/blog/entryid/82/how-to-import-an-excel-file-to-statistica/'>Excel data and analysis it with STATISTICA. My co-worker, Susan, just posted a 'http://www.statsoft.com/support/blog/entryid/82/how-to-import-an-excel-file-to-statistica/'>blog with an overview of the process.

You have two basic options. You can import the data into a STATISTICA spreadsheet. Or you can open it as an Excel spreadsheet within STATISTICA.

Which option do you use? I use both options.. it depends on my data.

Is anyone working with game theory and data mining? Read any interesting papers or blogs on it?
