This position reports to the Quality Assurance Department.
The Software Test Engineer fulfills an important role in the development of software products: to ensure that new programs are of the highest quality. The primary responsibilities of this position are the design of test plans for new software programs, validation of statistical results, creation of automation test scripts, unstructured but insightful testing of the functionality, and the documentation of software defects and usability issues.
This full-time, permanent position requires an individual who is able to quickly learn new software programs and independently manage projects with minimal supervision. The Software Test Engineer must possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills, a detail-oriented work approach, and good interpersonal and written communication skills. Previous software testing experience, basic knowledge of database, networking, web interface operations, programming skills, and proficiency with Microsoft products are not required but are greatly desired.
