We at StatSoft, appreciate very much the excellent evaluations
of STATISTICA in published magazine reviews, and we feel very honored by the fact that STATISTICA has received the highest rating in EVERY independent comparative review of statistics software in which it has been featured since its first release (see Comparative Reviews).
However, the most valuable feedback for us are the opinions of the users of our software, because the users put the programs through the most reliable and most valid tests of all: real-world applications. The following is a sample of letters (to StatSoft and journal editors) from current users of StatSoft's STATISTICA line of programs, representing a wide variety of areas of science, business, education, manufacturing, and government.
"I have used StatSoft's products for several years, starting
with CSS 2.1. I've also used several other statistical packages
(including SAS, Statgraphics, and Systat). I am a scientist, working
on acoustical insects. The analyses are seldom trivial, so power
and flexibility are important features of any statistics package
that I might use. Also, the data I collect are diverse and exploratory,
so interactive and accessible graphics procedures are tremendously
helpful. And I use an older AT computer, so speed of execution
is at premium.

A survey conducted by SCIENCE (the publication of the American Association for Advancement of Science; circulation: over 150,000) in 1992, 1997, 1998, and 2001 of a randomly selected sample of its readers has provided data on how StatSoft, Inc. is perceived by the community of scientists and administrators of science.
