Use a zip utility (such as WinZip) to
extract the files, and then run the StatSp.exe.
STATISTICA and STATISTICA Enterprise/QC Service Pack Installation Instructions
Single users:
Run the STATISTICA service pack by double-clicking on the StatSp.exe icon.
On the "Updates" tab, click the "Upgrade STATISTICA or STATISTICA Enterprise/QC" button.
The "Select Installation Type" dialog will be displayed. Select "Single-user installation" and click the Next button.
In the "Upgrade Options" dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct, and click the Next button to start the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process.
Once the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process is complete, return to the "Updates" tab and click the "Upgrade help and example files" button.
In the Upgrade Options dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct and click the Next button to start the help and examples update process.
Network users:
On the network server in which STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC is installed, run the service pack by double-clicking on the StatSp.exe icon.
On the "Updates" tab, click the "Upgrade STATISTICA or STATISTICA Enterprise/QC" button.
The "Select Installation Type" dialog will be displayed. Select "Server" and click the Next button.
Verify that all users are logged off from STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC, and click the Next button.
In the "Upgrade Options" dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct, and click the Next button to start the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process.
Once the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process is complete, return to the "Updates" tab and click the "Upgrade help and example files" button.
In the "Upgrade Options" dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct, and click the Next button to start the help and examples update process.
Workstation Updates:
For regular workstation installations, run the "Configure Workstation" option on the "Tools" tab of the service pack installer on every workstation.
For local-file workstation installations, run the service pack installer on every workstation. On the "Updates" tab, click the "Upgrade STATISTICA and STATISTICA Enterprise/QC" button, select "Concurrent-local installation" in the Select Installation Type dialog, and click the Next button to start the update process.

Instructions for Anonymous FTP
The
StatSoft FTP area can be accessed via anonymous FTP. Connect to
ftp.statsoft.com (user=anonymous, password=your-email-address), and
change directories to /download. The file "index.txt"
contains a list of the files that can be downloaded from this
location.
