• Set Definitions

  Enhanced STATISTICA Enterprise/QC sets capability to define multiple groups of samples as sets and support analysis specifications for each set.

• Document Management Enhancements

  In support of Section 21 CFR 11, individual spreadsheets within STATISTICA Enterprise/QC can be locked via a password to prevent modifications, and audit trails of modifications can be produced.

• Copy and Paste Functionality

  Enhanced copy and paste functions that enable a copied block of data from Excel or text file to include a header line with header lines translated as Variable names when pasted. Options within this functionality include: Paste with Variable names; Paste with Case names; and Paste with both.

• Enhanced Graphing

  Added the capability to rotate arrows within a graph around a mid point.

NOTE: The Patch should be applied only to English installations. This is a patch for Version 7.1 users only.

Use a zip utility (such as WinZip) to extract the files, and then run the StatSp.exe.

STATISTICA and STATISTICA Enterprise/QC Service Pack Installation Instructions

Single users:

• Run the STATISTICA service pack by double-clicking on the StatSp.exe icon.

• On the "Updates" tab, click the "Upgrade STATISTICA or STATISTICA Enterprise/QC" button.

• The "Select Installation Type" dialog will be displayed. Select "Single-user installation" and click the Next button.

• In the "Upgrade Options" dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct, and click the Next button to start the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process.

• Once the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process is complete, return to the "Updates" tab and click the "Upgrade help and example files" button.

• In the Upgrade Options dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct and click the Next button to start the help and examples update process.

Network users:

• On the network server in which STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC is installed, run the service pack by double-clicking on the StatSp.exe icon.

• On the "Updates" tab, click the "Upgrade STATISTICA or STATISTICA Enterprise/QC" button.

• The "Select Installation Type" dialog will be displayed. Select "Server" and click the Next button.

• Verify that all users are logged off from STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC, and click the Next button.

• In the "Upgrade Options" dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct, and click the Next button to start the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process.

• Once the STATISTICA/STATISTICA Enterprise/QC update process is complete, return to the "Updates" tab and click the "Upgrade help and example files" button.

• In the "Upgrade Options" dialog, verify that the Directory to update and Product language options are correct, and click the Next button to start the help and examples update process.

Workstation Updates:

NOTE: All workstations must be updated after the STATISTICA service pack has been applied to the server. There are two different types of workstation installations. The first type of install is a Regular workstation installation, in which all STATISTICA related files reside on the file server. The second type of workstation installation is local-file install, in which all STATISTICA related files reside locally, on the workstation.

• For regular workstation installations, run the "Configure Workstation" option on the "Tools" tab of the service pack installer on every workstation.

• For local-file workstation installations, run the service pack installer on every workstation. On the "Updates" tab, click the "Upgrade STATISTICA and STATISTICA Enterprise/QC" button, select "Concurrent-local installation" in the Select Installation Type dialog, and click the Next button to start the update process.

NOTE: Due to the size of the help update, it is not included with this service pack. To get the latest help updates, simply click the "Tools" tab of the service pack installer, click the "Download Assistant" button, and select "Help and Examples." Once the downloading process is complete, click the update help button on the "Updates" tab.

This service pack is only intended for STATISTICA and STATISTICA Enterprise/QC products. For WebSTATISTICA and WebSTATISTICA installations, contact info@statsoft.com for the latest update installer.

The industry standard STATISTICA Visual Basic language (integrated into STATISTICA) offers incomparably more than just a supplementary application programming language that can be used to write custom extensions. STATISTICA Visual Basic adds an arsenal of more than 10,000 new functions to the standard comprehensive syntax of Microsoft Visual Basic, thus comprising one of the largest and richest development environments available. Instructions for Anonymous FTP
The StatSoft FTP area can be accessed via anonymous FTP. Connect to ftp.statsoft.com (user=anonymous, password=your-email-address), and change directories to /download. The file "index.txt" contains a list of the files that can be downloaded from this location.
