An Overview of Data Entry
  • Flexible interface allows you to collect data in a variety of fashions and create customizable data entry scenarios
  • Comprehensiveness of the data entry allows for data collection by keyboard or by an automated data collector
  • Simplistic dialogs are designed for shop-floor use
  • Examples of Data Entry Scenarios

    Sample-Wide Data Entry

Sample-Wide Data Entry is an economical way to collect data in a spreadsheet format. It is an intuitive way for operators to collect data for multiple characteristics on a single part or measurements for multiple parts into one convenient screen.

Operator Collects Data Manually by Keyboard

Had an operator entered a value beyond the reasonable limits (i.e., 26 in this example) an additional prompt would have been given to override (if that operator were given such permission.)

    Operator Collects Attribute Data

Users simply select defect type and enter a count to indicate the frequency of observed defects on the piece being inspected. As data are collected the operator can also view C, U, P, NP, and Pareto charts in real-time.

    Data Collection Without Operator Involvement
Companies that make use of automated data collectors can have the data fed directly into the STATISTICA Enterprise/QC system automatically via a database or data warehouse.
