Overview. WebSTATISTICA Knowledge Portal is a powerful, Web-based, knowledge-sharing tool that allows your colleagues, employees, and/or customers (with appropriate permissions) to log in and quickly and efficiently get access to the information they need, by reviewing predefined reports (optionally organized into structured repositories).

The WebSTATISTICA Interactive Knowledge Portal offers to the portal visitors additionally options to define and request new reports, run queries and custom analyses, drill down and up, and slice/dice data, and gain insight from any resources made to them available by the portal designers or administrators.

Knowledge Portal can be integrated with other WebSTATISTICA applications, including STATISTICA Document Management System.

With WebSTATISTICA Knowledge Portal's tools, you can post up-to-date reports, charts, and tables on the Internet automatically, virtually in real-time, and without knowledge of HTML or Java programming languages.

The product is available in two versions:

WebSTATISTICA Knowledge Portal - is a powerful, Web-based, knowledge-sharing tool that allows your colleagues, employees, and/or customers (with appropriate permissions) to log in and quickly and efficiently get access to the information they need, by reviewing predefined reports (optionally organized into structured repositories).

WebSTATISTICA Interactive Knowledge Portal - offers to the portal visitors all the functionality of the Knowledge Portal and additionally options to define and request new reports, run queries and custom analyses, drill down and up, and slice/dice data, and gain insight from all resources that are made available to them by the portal designers or administrators.

The WebSTATISTICA Knowledge Portal application systems feature a powerful report generation tool for creating highly customized reports, formatted the way that you want, and scheduled (to be generated) at the specific times that you choose. You can set up templates for the reports that you need on a regular basis. For each report, you can create titles, supplementary text, headers and footers, and embedded graphics to complement its charts and tables. These templates are saved in the system for access by all authenticated users with the necessary permissions. Additionally, you can control how often the reports are updated and output is generated. The reports can be generated interactively (directly from the WebSTATISTICA output, which can be automatically placed into the editing facility before it is posted into the portal) or produced automatically at specified intervals. For example, you may want your colleagues at other sites to be able to access summary quality control reports, updated every hour, via your company's Intranet.

These applications take advantage of the latest Internet technology to create the ultimate, interactive knowledge-sharing tools for your business.

Interactive Drill-down Explorer. One of the interactive data analysis tools available in the Interactive Knowledge Portal is an extremely easy to use and intuitive facility to select subsets, drill-down and up the data (to "slice and dice" them) by clicking on specific bars of the Explorer graph.

Integration with STATISTICA Document Management System (optional). If the (optional) STATISTICA Document Management System application is licensed, then users of the Knowledge Portal with proper permissions will be able to review and check out documents from the secure (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISO 9000 compliant) document repository, that supports versioning and roll-back, audit and approval trails, indexing, search and retrieval. Additionally, authenticated users of the Interactive Knowledge Portal with proper permissions will be able to perform securely all document management operations including electronic approval, querying the repository database, editing of documents, as well as all administrator functions.
