Customizable Report Generation - The STATISTICA Reporter

An Overview of the STATISTICA Reporter
The STATISTICA Enterprise/QC includes a powerful report generation tool called the STATISTICA Reporter. The Reporter allows you to create highly customized reports. These reports are formatted the way that you want, created at times that you choose, and the output is generated according to your specifications.

How the STATISTICA Reporter Works
The STATISTICA Reporter allows you to define templates for the reports that you need on a regular basis. These templates are saved in the SEWSS system for access by all users provided with the necessary permissions.

You have several output choices for these reports. You may choose to have the reports automatically printed. Or, you may choose to save the report in either HTML or RTF (Rich Text Format) file format, in the network location of your choice. If you choose to save the file in HTML format, the latest graphs (e.g., control charts with process capability statistics and histograms) are saved as JPEGs. If you choose to save the report in RTF format, the report will be accessible from virtually any word processing application, including ms Word.

You have complete control over the format of the report. You may create titles, supplementary text, headers and footers, and embedded graphics to complement the charts in the report. The Reporter's editing tools are very similar to basic word processing tools, so this process is quite simple.

Additionally, you control how often the reports are updated and output is generated. For instance, you may choose to update a report at the end of each shift. STATISTICA Enterprise/QC also provides the option for its users to prompt for the creation of a certain report when necessary.

When the report is run, the template is loaded from the STATISTICA Enterprise/QC database. The charts and tables you specified are updated to reflect the latest data. The updated charts and tables populate the template and the report is generated in the output method of your choice.
