In a review of STATISTICA 8 by statistician Dr. John Wass, the author has praised the extremely complete set of statistical routines offered, in some ways STATISTICA “seems to be a menu-driven SAS, i.e., whatever you want, it’s there” offering very powerful data mining, customization, programming, and Web-enablement features. Dr. Wass has also praised the quality of the Electronic Manual (help system) stating that it was “found to be especially useful: as it is easy to call up and navigate, it’s very complete, it is well-cross references with active links, it’s very logically arranged, and it has excellent search functions” and that total search times were measured in (very few) seconds.
