In recent news about the STATISTICA Credit Scoring solution: Boosted Trees and Random Forests methods in STATISTICA Data Miner were used to win an international credit scoring competition. PAKDD 2010 is one of the most famous data mining competitions, and the only competition lately related to credit scoring. Our StatSoft colleague, Grzegorz Haranczyk who works at StatSoft Polska, won! This outcome clearly demonstrates the improvements in credit scoring performance possible using advanced analytic methods such as Boosted Trees and Random Forests.
