A recent thread in the StatSoft User Forum discussed different options for copying STATISTICA graphs into a PowerPoint Presentation.
STATISTICA is integrated with Microsoft Office. This means you can open Word, Excel and PowerPoint presentations within STATISTICA. Then you can drag-n-drop graphs from STATISTICA into PowerPoint.
If I have a couple of graphs to copy, I will use this option. I start the STATISTICA application and select the File menu, Open menu. Then I type *.ppt in the File name field. Once the presentation is opened, I drag and drop graphs into it.
If I have many graphs, I will use a STATISTICA Visual Basic macro to do the copying. This macro, Copy Graphs to Power Point, can be downloaded with some example files.
After you unzip Copy Graphs to Power Point, you will see 3 files. Start STATISTICA and open 2 files; GraphToPPT. svb and International Adoption.stw. The macro will copy the graphs into the third file, International Adoption.ppt.
You need to update GraphToPPT. svb. The FOLDER_PATH and FILE_LOCATION variables must point to the file, International Adoption.ppt.
Type F5 to execute the macro and start the copying. You will see Microsoft PowerPoint open. And the presentation will have graphs like this..
Note: You must have Microsoft PowerPoint and STATISTICA installed on the same computer.
