Bob Amick is a Service Manager for a company that is a major supplier and producer of polypropylene fiber. He took a moment to discuss with us his use of STATISTICA in their processes.

•  Tell us about your education and career.
I have a Master of Science in Polymer Chemistry/Fiber & Polymer Science from North Carolina State University. I work in the polypropylene fiber industry.

•  What challenges did you face that drove you to use STATISTICA?
Our main challenge is/was to look at collections of data obtained under different conditions and to determine whether any real changes resulted from the different conditions. We also use it to generate SPC charts and one-way ANOVAs.

•  How do you use STATISTICA?
Primarily, we use the Basic Statistics module and the Process Control module. Occasionally I use the Multiple Regression module.

•  Why did you use STATISITICA over another product?
I had used STATISTICA in the past and found it to be much more logical than other products. Plus, the graphics are superb.

•  Did STATISTICA give you the solution you were seeking?
Absolutely. Without a doubt.

•  What are STATISTICA strengths?
Ease of use, graphics, built-in statistics manual and handbook.

•  Would you recommend STATISTICA to a colleague or friend?
I absolutely would. I think it's one of the best software packages around! I really do!
