TULSA, OK (May 2, 2008) -Dr. Thomas Hill, StatSoft's Vice President for Analytic Solutions, was invited to present a paper on the most recent work by StatSoft Power Solution consultants to optimize furnace performance for low emissions at the Alliant Edgewater Generating Station. StatSoft Power Solutions has developed effective approaches to leverage historical performance data for boiler optimization. This work is rapidly gaining broad recognition for providing cost-effective tools to optimize the increasingly complex processes required to ensure the safe and clean generation of electricity. The Asia-Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate brings together seven major countries - Australia, Canada, India, Japan, Korea, and the United States. This group collectively accounts for more than half of the world's economy, population, and energy use. The partners are cooperating at the governmental and private sector levels in an effort to address increased energy needs and the associated issues of air pollution, energy security, and climate change.
