Last Update: June 23, 2010
Our current release is STATISTICA 9. These updates are for customers who have STATISTICA 9 installed on their computers.
Instructions are provided for the following installation types:
Note for Data Miner users of the C/C++/SVB source code generators: For those users who purchased STATISTICA Data Miner before March 1, 2010, and use STATISTICA Data Miner to generate source code of the procedures to be incorporated stand-alone in applications outside the STATISTICA environment (C/C++/SVB), please contact StatSoft Technical Service, support@statsoft.com, for assistance with your upgrade. You will need to provide your STATISTICA 9 license file to process the upgrade request.
This includes Concurrent Network, Concurrent Network with Borrowing, and STATISTICA Enterprise, and WebSTATISTICA installations.
Note that the update must be applied to the server BEFORE updating the workstations.
All workstations must be updated AFTER the update has been applied to the server.
If you are upgrading a WebSTATISTICA Server that has been set to run as another user (e.g., when storing WebSTATISTICA Enterprise reports on a network share), you will need to reconfigure the WebSTATISTICA service and DCOM identity settings upon completing the upgrade to allow WebSTATISTICA access to network shares.
You can change the user assigned to the WebSTATISTICA service from the Log On tab in the Properties dialog for this service.
You will also need to configure the user that the STATISTICA instances run as to match the user that the WebSTATISTICA service has been changed to. The first step is to run dcomcnfg.exe. This program can be started from the Run dialog. If you receive any DCOM Configuration Warning prompts on startup, click No.
On the Component Services dialog, navigate in the tree view to Console Root > Component Services > Computers > My Computer > DCOM Config. Under the DCOM Config node, locate the StatSoft WebSTATISTICA Job Server entry. Right-click on this item and select Properties. Select the Identity tab. Select the This user option and enter the appropriate login information to match what was configured for the WebSTATISTICA service.
Once these steps are completed, restart the WebSTATISTICA service.
