When I try to open STATISTICA, I get a message that says: “Terminal server remote client not allowed.” What does this mean?

That message usually indicates that you are trying to access STATISTICA from one computer when it is installed on another computer (using remote access). The single-user installation of STATISTICA does not allow use on a remote desktop user interface. STATISTICA must be installed and used on the same computer. It will not run remotely on another computer.

I am getting a message that says “STATISTICA cannot check out a license from the available license pool.” What does this mean?

If your installation of STATISTICA is on a network, please contact your system administrators regarding the licensing of STATISTICA. They will need to check to see if all of the licenses are in use or if there is a network permissions issue.

If this is a desktop version of STATISTICA, ensure that you are opening STATISTICA while at the computer on which STATISTICA is installed rather than through a remote desktop session, which is not allowed.

I want to conduct a silent install for Version 9. Can I do this?

Yes. A silent install can be conducted for 32-bit single-user 9.0. For workstations and 64-bit installations, please download the Version 9.1 silent installer instructions.

When downloading the trial version, I am encountering an "Error -1" about having trouble connecting to the server. What can I do to continue with the download?

When downloading and installing the Trial Version of STATISTICA, it is recommended to check your internet connection and temporarily disable any firewalls (or network blocks) that might be interfering.

When I try to update my license file, nothing happens.

It is recommended when receiving a new license file to save it to your desktop as “stat.lic.” At that point, the new license file can be applied by clicking Update License File, browsing to the desktop, and applying the license file. If you have Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7, you may need to elevate the default level of permissions of STATISTICA by right-clicking on the STATISTICA icon, choosing Run as administrator from the shortcut menu, and then applying the license file.

I've lost my license file, can you help me?

Contact StatSoft for a replacement. You will need to provide your serial number.

When registering STATISTICA, I receive an error stating “Error code 115” or “105.” How can I register STATISTICA?

When registering STATISTICA, it is recommended that you temporarily disable any firewalls or network blocks that might be interfering with registration.

I have a network license and need to move the software to a new server. What do I need to do?

I keep getting a message that there has been a hardware change on my computer when trying to open STATISTICA. Is this because I updated my VMWare?

Hardware changes such as an update to VMWare software can interrupt the licensing of STATISTICA. Fill out the certificate of deinstallation. We will notify you by e-mail when you can install and register on the new computer.

When registering the software, I keep getting the message that I have reached the maximum number of installs. Is this because the old user no longer works for the company?

If the old employee no longer works for the company and STATISTICA has been uninstalled from the old computer then a certificate of deinstallation is needed. We will notify you by e-mail that you can install and/or register STATISTICA under a new user.
